Essentially, escrow is when a mediator or judge acts as a referee between the buyer and the seller. They make unbiased decisions to make sure that both the buyer and seller are meeting the requirements before close of escrow.
It’s very important to hire an agent that understands the escrow process. Here’s why: there are a lot of agents who don’t understand the escrow process. There are many timelines, deadlines, and other factors to deal with. If your agent isn’t sure what they’re doing, that could put you in a compromised situation, which we do not want to happen.
