Many people ask, “What is escrow?” While this is a term we hear a lot in the real estate industry, many buyers and sellers aren’t sure what escrow actually is.

Essentially, escrow is when a mediator or judge acts as a referee between the buyer and the seller. They make unbiased decisions to make sure that both the buyer and seller are meeting the requirements before close of escrow.

Your agent needs to understand the escrow process.

It’s very important to hire an agent that understands the escrow process. Here’s why: there are a lot of agents who don’t understand the escrow process. There are many timelines, deadlines, and other factors to deal with. If your agent isn’t sure what they’re doing, that could put you in a compromised situation, which we do not want to happen.

If you have any other questions about the escrow process, give me a call or send me an email. I would be happy to help you!
